Earth Day 2009

After 8 years, I’ve finally almost met my goal of saving almost 2000 books from being shredded. I started RescuedBooks in April 2001 after I found out that leftover books from our local library sale were going to the recycling center to be sent out for shredding. I LOVE books and I couldn’t stand the thought of them being destroyed, especially since some of these were out of print and no longer available.
